 Sage: Sage has been used effectively for throat infections, dental abscesses, infected gums and mouth ulcers. The phenolic acids in Sage are particularly potent against Staphylococcus aureus. In vitro, sage oil has been shown to be effective against both Escherichia coli and Salmonella species, and against filamentous fungi and yeasts such as Candida albicans. Sage also has an astringent action due to its relatively high tannin content and can be used in the treatment of infantile diarrhea.

Dill: Dill contains properties which may improve digestive functioning. It may help to manage stomach acid levels which may help to reduce the occurrence of bad breath and acid reflux. It also soothes upset stomach, prevents diarrhea, and reduces the amount of gas produced in the intestines. Additionally, dill contains dietary fiber which is beneficial for optimal digestive health.


Tarragon: Tarragon herb has been used in traditional medicines for stimulating the appetite and as a remedy for anorexia, dyspepsia, flatulence and hiccups.

Basil: Many naturopathic doctors prescribe basil in treatment of diabetes, respiratory disorders, allergies, impotence, and infertility. This may be because basil contains cinnamanic acid, which has been found to enhance circulation, stabilize blood sugar, and improve breathing in those with respiratory disorders.

Rosmary: After lavender, rosemary is probably one of the most often utilized and loved plant in aromatherapy. Its uses have extended in time from uses with culinary purposes to medicine and later to perfume industry, because of its aromatizing properties.

Thyme: Thyme contains an essential oil that is rich in thymol, a powerful antiseptic, antibacterial, and a strong antioxidant. The oil of thyme is used in mouthwashes to treat inflammations of the mouth, and throat infections. It is a common component of cough drops.

Cilantro: Cilantro is a natural anti-inflammatory and helps to alleviate the symptoms of arthritis.
